What do these details mean?

A single result shows the network exit point your current connection exposes to the internet; it is not the device’s local network address. The result may change after switching routes, networks, or connection methods.

IP

Public address

Websites and online services usually see your public IP, not the private address assigned to your device by the router. After connecting to an accelerated route, run the check again to confirm that the public IP has switched to the intended route.

REGION

Country and region

The location is based on network registration and geolocation data in an IP address database, so it is best used to confirm the approximate exit region. Databases can lag behind reality, and the displayed city or region may not match the actual data-center location. Use the target service’s access result as the final reference.

ISP

Network provider

The ISP or network organization field identifies the operator network associated with the public address. After switching routes, it can help show whether requests are still leaving directly through the original local network.

PROXY

Proxy detection status

This result comes from a GeoIP endpoint and reflects only how the current public IP is classified in its database. Different websites use different data sources and detection rules, so the same exit may be assessed differently across services.

DNS CHECK

DNS leak test

A changed public IP does not guarantee that every domain lookup follows the same path. A DNS test helps confirm whether lookup requests are still being handled by the original network’s DNS service.

  1. Record a baseline first

    Disconnect from the accelerated route and note the current exit country or region and ISP. Then review the DNS settings in your operating system or browser to see whether DNS is assigned automatically or configured manually.

  2. Check again after connecting to the target route

    Connect to the route and reopen this page to confirm that the public connection details have changed. Then review the DNS server source in your system network details and check whether it still points to the original network provider.

  3. Rule out browser-specific settings

    Some browsers enable their own secure DNS, so the displayed result may differ from the operating system’s settings. Check both the browser and system configuration during troubleshooting to avoid mixing up two separate lookup paths.

  4. Re-establish the connection if needed

    If the public IP has changed but DNS still clearly points to the original network, disconnect and reconnect the route, then restart the browser. If the issue persists, note the system, network type, selected route, and symptoms before submitting a support ticket.
